Touristic Visa
It is a type of visa that foreign citizens coming to Turkey for touristic purposes must apply for. If the foreigner cannot benefit from the visa exemption, he/she must apply for a tourist visa before entering Turkey. Tourist visa application can be made from Turkish foreign representative offices abroad or through e-visa. Citizens of countries that are not subject to e-visa application should apply to the Turkish foreign representative office in their country and have a visa printed on their passports. The visa allows a maximum stay of 90 days in a 180-day period. Foreigners who do not have the opportunity to apply for an e-visa must submit a passport, photograph, documents suitable for the purpose of travel, hotel flight reservation, sufficient financial proof documents and travel health insurance during their application to the Turkish Consulate.
Commercial Visa
Foreign nationals who wish to travel to Turkey for commercial purposes and who do not benefit from visa exemption must obtain a business visa before entering the country. The application for a business visa can be made as an e-visa or through the Turkish foreign missions in the country where the person is a citizen. For applications to be made at Turkish Consulates, the applicant must submit a passport, photograph, commercial invitation from the company in Turkey and financial documents. For business visa applications in Turkey, a passport valid for at least 6 months after the end of the planned trip must be presented.
Student Visa
People whose purpose of coming to Turkey is to engage in educational activities here should apply for a student visa before entering Turkey. The scope of education can be undergraduate, graduate or doctoral. Since the educational activities will be more than 90 days, e-visa applications cannot be made. Student visa applications must be made through the Turkish Consulates in the country of citizenship. It should be known that the visa applied for is a type of residence permit. During the application, an acceptance or invitation document from the educational institution in Turkey must also be submitted. In addition, the student should also provide proof of information on how he/she will earn a living during his/her stay in Turkey. These financial proof documents can be a bank account, a letter of commitment or a scholarship letter.
Family Reunification Visa
It is a type of visa obtained by the spouse, children under the age of 18 or dependents of a foreigner in Turkey by applying to Turkish Consulates abroad. The legal residence conditions of the foreigner living in Turkey are also evaluated in this application. Turkey family reunification visa is a type of residence permit. In other words, it gives the applicant the right to live in Turkey for more than 90 days. The application must prove that the person in Turkey has an income. In addition, this income should be able to cover the care and expenses of the family members coming to Turkey. During the application, a passport, photograph, marriage or birth certificates (if the applicant is a spouse or child) and proof of income of the person in Turkey must be submitted.
Visa for Humanitarian Reasons or Victims of Human Trafficking
These visa types are granted to individuals in exceptional cases. For visas issued for humanitarian reasons, the examination is carried out by the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Turkey. They are issued in cases where it is unreasonable for the person to leave Turkey, in the best interests of the child, etc. The visa granted to victims of human trafficking is a visa granted for 30 days to persons who are or are strongly suspected to be victims of human trafficking. Both visa procedures for Turkey are carried out by the Ministry of Interior when necessary.
