In order to prevent this situation for a while and to obtain a residence permit as a result, a cancellation lawsuit requesting a stay of execution should be filed. If the cancellation case is won, the person’s rejected residence permit application will be accepted.

According to the new regulations, this period can be a maximum of 5 years and can be extended for another 5 years if necessary. An indefinite entry ban, on the other hand, prevents a person from entering Turkey without a specific time limit.

Foreigners are subject to a temporary entry ban if they attempt to reside in Turkey in violation of their visa or visa exemption period or if they work without a work permit. However, if foreigners who violate the visa or visa exemption period under V84 voluntarily leave the country and pay a fine, the entry ban is not applied. Foreigners who pay the fine may enter Turkey conditionally. Foreigners who enter conditionally must apply for a residence permit within 10 days at the latest.

This 10-day period is regarded as a definitive forfeiture period and those who fail to apply within this period are subject to a temporary ban on entry into Turkey. In other words, these persons will be deported from Turkey.
